Keep Your People Close

Hello everyone, how are you all?

This weekend I am at my grandmother’s house again, together with plenty of aunts, uncles and cousins, for a big spring clean of my grandmother’s attic. For now it’s just me that’s arrived, so my grandmother and I are at the quiet before the storm.

Over the last year I’ve really come to appreciate the importance of family when dealing with mental illness. Without them I don’t know what would have happened to me, but I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today in my mind.

Whether it’s your real family, or the family of people you have chosen to surround yourself with, it’s so important to keep them close when you are struggling (and otherwise!), because they might just be the safety net which catches you.

If there is one thing which can bring you wellness, it really is your people.

I need to run now, people are arriving soon and I’m helping my grandmother set the table, just wanted to quickly check in with you all.

Love,

Hannah xx

PS: I’m considering moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, does anyone have any experience with this? Was it a good choice?

From the library yesterday. Give me a thermos of coffee and my mac and I’m good!

Org you download and then have much more control over the site, you can do more with it and install more plug-ins, and you can download a theme from outside of wordpress.com and there are some quite gorgeous ones. At wordpress.org you also host the site yourself and do all of the upkeep on your own. It’s more expensive and time-consuming but you can get pretty impressive end-results.

Good morning dear. The commentary above mine is a study case in ” the bad mannners” of the web and society in general ( terrible in the USA but spreading around th globe). First, my dear Purple Owl, you must greet Hannah properly because you did not sleep together last night. Say : ” good morning”
Secondly, when you’re asking for a favour you must say
    ” please”
Last but not least when it is granted say :”thank you”
God Almighty, what’s wrong with these people?
Why was I contacting you Hannah? Oh yeah! What are you cooking with Grandma today?

Hello. I don’t really mind, I’m sure PurpleOwl didn’t mean anything by it. I don’t really cook, haha, but I help set and clear the table. My grandmum cooks all sorts though, lots of traditional Norwegian food ☺️ Thank you for reading! xx

Good afternoon. Sorry but I DO mind…So you’re in Norway dear? I just finished watching the second season of “Fortitude” and I decided to visit that isolated island to bring some much needed cheer to the stunningly beautiful but terribly gloomy walkirie that live there. A kiss. Ciao!
